Surprise for Me

We are in Houston again this weekend visiting family and my sweet darling husband as always keeping me on my toes. Yet again he surprised me. He said we were going to a hobby shop for stuff he wanted to go look at…ok sure. We end up driving up to a store called Twisted Yarns. It was pricey but it had what I would call exotic yarn and it all was very nice. I bought the above to make atleast one if not two cowls.

Wolf Snoodie

After seeing the Panda 🐼 snoodie I made for my brother-in-law’s girlfriend for a gift for Christmas, she asked for one. She asked for a wolf 🐺 in the colors of the mascot for her high school. She loves it.

I will be making a pink 🐻 bear for my niece soon, since she needs a new hat and she loves pink. Will post a pic when done…

Got lots of projects to come….already planning for next Christmas for my brother-in-laws and hubby…..and maybe even my kids. 😜. Gonna be hard to keep under wraps from my own family! Luckily I work from home!

Fridge Fresheners

With all the different food items, it’s only natural to have a smelly fridge, right? Well, not anymore! These easy to make fridge refreshers are a simple, natural way to deodorize your refrigerator. Just place one refresher in your fridge each month for a fresh and clean scent every time you open up your fridge.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups baking soda

½–1 cup water

15 drops Purify

Instructions

1 Combine baking soda, ½ cup water, and essential oils into bowl.

2 Stir together.

3 Note: If needed, add more water until thick paste forms. The mixture should resemble damp sand.

4 Divide mixture equally into silicone mold.

5 Allow it to rest 2–3 days or until mixture hardens.

6 Once hard, place in refrigerator to help eliminate unpleasant odors. Store additional fridge refreshers in an airtight container until ready to use. One disk will last up to a month in your fridge.

Tip: Place under sink, in the shoe closet, or behind the toilet for additional freshness.

Homemade Marshmallows

These are definitely something for a patient person to make. I also will have everything prepared more so than I already did. Recipe stated that in total to make them it would be 4 hours and 45 min….45 min of actually making and atleast 4 hours of sitting and cooling. Mine sat overnight. This is what they looked like, powdery. Homemade Marshmallows Recipe

Make-up Remover Wipes

These Makeup Remover Wipes work well for everyday use or for times when you need to remove stubborn makeup. With the added bonus of being less expensive to make than wipes found in stores, they include products that you already know and love. Store-bought products often contain harsh chemicals that can dry out the skin and leave it feeling unhealthy. Instead, these do-it-yourself wipes moisturize the skin while providing gentle cleansing and will leave you with healthy, smooth, and radiant-looking skin. They also provide a quick and easy way to remove makeup while on-the-go, helping the kids, or if you’re simply too tired to get out of bed.

Melaleuca, or Tea Tree, essential oil is used in this recipe because it is renowned for its cleansing and rejuvenating effect on the skin. Melaleuca also aids in reducing the appearance of blemishes and soothes occasional skin irritations, making it a wonderful addition to this do-it-yourself recipe.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons witch hazel

2 tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil

2 tablespoons distilled water

1–2 drops Melaleuca (Tea Tree) oil

Roll of paper towels

Instructions

1 Combine witch hazel, Fractionated Coconut Oil, and water in a small blowl and stir.

2 Add Melaleuca (Tea Tree) essential oil.

3 Use a serrated knife to cut the roll of paper towels in half widthwise and remove tube from one half.

4 Put the half without the tube in an airtight container, then pour the solution over the roll.

5 Replace lid and shake.

6 To use, pull wipes from center and wipe off makeup.

Note: This recipe works for all skin types. Store in a cool, dry place and use within three months.

These wipes are great for everyday use, but here are some other occasions when these wipes may come in handy.

Next….

Im making another shawl for my mom-in-law since hubby said the other one is not big enough. Im using Carron Cake in Faerie Cake color, I think…. using the Wrap Me Up in Ice Cream shawl pattern.

I have a sinus infection and today and probably tomorrow will be my worse days before my better days come from the antibiotics. So, I was couch bound all day trying different patterns again until I found this one.
