Ive been so busy with changing clients with my job (have to train again, so much fun 🤦🏼♀️), getting new fur babies (and they are babies)…but Ive been knitting.
I was working on this, a sweater, and I couldn’t take the mistakes and some of the stitches I couldn’t stand. I tore it completely down and am restarting it with other yarn. Will update soon.
I’ve been busy since I last posted. Here are some things that I have done while away.
Here is something I love to make but my stomach hates me for eating too much of when I do. This is what I call barley risotto, it has onions, mushrooms, butter, chicken broth, leftover roasted chicken and yes barley.
Unfortunately my daughters kitty, Bruce, got down and sick, come to find out he has some chronic illness that if stressed enough will bring it on. Poor thing was sick for about a week and really loved medicine time…we mixed it with wet food. He is such a character.
We adopted this cutie, the stressor to kitty :(. Ended up being too much for our whole family, other critters included so we had to give him back. ;(.
Our sweet momma dog, Cleo, left us a few weeks after we got crazy dog. It was very hard for my hubby and I, especially my hubby since he had had her since a pup.
Our sweetie, Dexter, passed away a few weeks ago. Come to find out since ferrets have so much inbreeding they don’t live very long due to tumors or other illnesses. We think he had a tumor on his pancreas.
We got this cutie, Nutmeg, seeing that our other ferret baby seemed to be lonely and depressed due to his brother passing. She is alot of fun and crazy in a very little package. Lol
WIPS and projects is progress…
Will explain them more later! Bye for now!
I personally knit-crochet and fix (Netflix) or watch tv (Hulu, regular tv, etc.). Its nice to hear that the craft of knitting/crochet is growing with the younger crowds.
I can hardly do anything else nowadays but crochet/knit, Im obsessed. I really am obsessed, I think about it all the time. I want to do it all the time. Sitting still without yarn and a hook or needles in hand is very difficult to even stand anymore. I know that this is almost sad or maybe a problem but I try to keep it appropriate. Lol. There are days that I fo put off my chores for it too, like today. I am starting to get some done, but another reason is the weather is crappy and I do have a migraine as well. It is hard to even concentrate with that going on.
As my pics show, I am knitting or crocheting and flixing sometimes with the love of a furry. I do miss them, we only have the small white/orange one left….my daughters kitty.
Awhile ago I received an email from Red Heart and it had what I thought was an interesting topic. It was about yarning, yes that’s right I said yarning. It defined it, which I thought was cool and true. So here it is.
Yarning (verb): the act of creating something out of yarn while passing the time. Your creations are often filled with personal expression and memories either for yourself or for others. For example, “I was yarning on my road trip this past weekend and made these fun, fingerless gloves.”
You could be yarning in the car, while waiting in line, watching a football game, or binge watching your favorite show. Every creation tells the story of what you are doing while yarning.
Example of me yarning on the road; hubby driving and me talking to him as we go.
I yarn and multitask alot, mostly watching tv, if hubby is with we are binging on Netflix or Hulu!
What do you do while you are yarning?
I have my fair share of hobbies, along with selling essential oils, making items from them (lip balms, neosporin, body butter, etc.), and making all sorts of handmade items that I knit and crochet as well as bows, wreaths, etc.
